The eliminator format was Osku Palermaa's friend in the Don Carter division finals. Despite struggling early on, Palermaa was able to stick around until the final match, defeating Dom Barrett, who looked invincible for much of the day. With the low score being eliminated each round, Palermaa did just enough to avoid elimination on his way to the finals.
The victory gives Palermaa, who owns one career PBA title, a berth in the finals of the PBA World Championship, where he'll be looking to win his first major championship.
