Michael Haugen, Jr.'s first title in five years was not an easy one to get. He had to take on Scott Norton, who had the best overall performance of anyone during the Winter Swing, making him probably the most formidable opponent possible. Haugen, though, after leading the field throughout qualifying, wasn't going to let this chance go. With the win over Norton, Haugen is now a three-time PBA Tour champion.
In Round 3 of PBA League competition, the top-seeded Motown Muscle won the one match necessary for a top seed to take a title, defeating the New York City WTT KingPins. The KingPins entered the event in first place in the overall PBA League standings, and their second place finish in this event was enough to keep them on top overall. While the victorious Muscle weren't able to take the top overall spot, they did jump from third to second, dropping the Brooklyn Styles into third.
