Today, at 2:30 p.m. ET on ESPN, Pete Weber will attempt to tie Earl Anthony's all-time record for major victories with 10. Weber is already locked in to the championship match, having qualified as the top seed, awaiting either Jason Belmonte, Sean Rash, Tommy Jones or Osku Palermaa.
For years, people have talked about whether or not Tiger Woods could tie or pass Jack Nicklaus' record of 18 major titles. This is bowling's equivalent of that mark. Earl Anthony is the only man in PBA history to win 10 major titles, and if Weber can win today, there will be two men in the club.
With an incredibly formidable field, Weber won't have it easy against whoever ends up in the finals with him. But neither will his opponent. Who's your pick? Can Pete Weber win his 10th career title and complete the Triple Crown for the second time? If not, who will take it from him?
