If it's not hard enough earning a spot on the PBA Tour, it get's harder trying to win. With 16 events up for grabs during the 2011-2012 season, two of which don't count as PBA titles (The World Bowling Tour Finals and the Chris Paul Celebrity Invitational), there aren't a lot of chances for bowlers to establish themselves as the best in the game.
Winning a PBA Tour event used to guarantee a bowler an exemption for the following season (or more, depending on the tournament), but beginning with the 2012-2013 season, the PBA Tour will be using a non-exempt format, meaning PBA Tour exemptions will no longer exist. It will still be extremely important for bowlers to win on Tour this year, as the competition points awarded in each tournament will determine who makes it into the exclusive events next year (like the Dick Weber PBA Playoffs and the PBA Elite Players Championship). Particularly for those who have never won, winning an event is crucial as it earns a bowler a berth into the PBA's flagship event, the Tournament of Champions.
Keep up with all the 2011-2012 PBA Tour winners on this page, which will be updated either after the finals have aired (many telecasts will be on tape delay this season), or in the case of a tournament that isn't televised (there are three of those on tap for this season), this page will be updated at the conclusion of that tournament.
Here are the winners of all the PBA Tour events during the 2011-2012 season. Bold denotes a major championship. Italic denotes a televised event that doesn't count as a PBA Tour title. Tournaments labeled with "(XF)" will be shown exclusively on the PBA's subscription video service, Xtra Frame.
